I received a book in the mail a while back about an obscure medical museum of human oddities. The book is a large size desktop type of book that has tons of gruesome photos and some elegant photos of anatomy. Someday I would like to actually visit this museum, but for now I can check out the book.

Hell's Headbangers Records

I recently made an order from HHR and I was thrilled that they had such a great selection of hard to find vinyls. It only made me wish that I had more money to order more vinyls.

I have ordered from many different distros in the past, some good, some not so good. I can honestly say that Hell's Headbangers have great customer service, they pack their shipments well and keep a great inventory. I received my package and one item was missing. I then e-mailed them about it and they immediately sent the missing item via first class mail...fvcking awesome service!!!

Excited about seeing Amon Amarth

Two weeks until I see Amon Amarth on their current North American tour with Skeletonwitch! Some of my closest friends from around the state of Texas will be gathering for this monumental event. For the show I am going all out by wearing my Viking tunic, war helmet, Thors Hammer neckalce, leather bracers, and I will be chugging beer from a Viking Bull Horn!!!

Emile Cioran Misanthrope Poet

You have probably never heard of this Romanian writer; he is a delusional madman with epic poetry skills. His somber depressing tomes are enough to enthrall any maniac or misanthrope. I highly recommend his book called "On the Heights of Despair".

Ultimate Metal Vest Part II

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I was going to be creating my ultimate metal vest. After hours of searching for great patches and the actual vest itself, I am finally almost done with the vest.
Thanks to Blackthorn of Blackdeath Coven Records in San Antonio, TX for finding a nice Archgoat patch for me. All of the patches are sewn on and I don't plan on adding any more. The only thing that I am planning to add to the vest is to paint two symbols on the top front area; a German Wolfsangle and the Rune Elhaz.

Above we can see the final product of the back, simple no frills, and 3 great black metal bands. Archgoat, Absurd, Watain. The Absurd patch is made from a t-shirt, and the Archgoat patch is one of 100 on leather.
Above we can see the front of the vest, the open spaces above the zippers are where my symbols are going to be painted. On the front I tried to keep the same minimalist but elegant approach. The patches are: Archgoat, TeitanBlood, Adumus, Satanic Warmaster, Revenge and Paul Booth's Last Rites Tattoo.

WYRD -Pagan Black Metal

Heathen/Pagan metal that doesn't sound like the fvckin metal version of polka! Wyrd is a band that can smoothly transition from soft acoustic guitars to smashing drone riffage, then to blasting black metal and then back to a whispering acoustic soundscape.

Their music is depressing, somber and has that dark wintery feeling that just drags your face down into the snow. Wryd is simply another reason that I love the bad ass music that is coming from Finland these days.

Metal Tattoo Artist JON ZIG

What could possibly go better with metal, beards and beer? ....A sick fvcking tattoo by a bad-ass tattoo artist! Tattoos have long been a tradition for metalheads and metal musicians. I'm not talking about tattoos that depict anchors, daisies, robins, or $ signs; metalheads need zombies, goat skulls, and titties!
This is where tattoo artist/metal vocalist JON ZIG steps in. Jon has been tattooing metalheads for many years and has done some sik cover designs for many deathmetal bands including SUFFOCATION. His style is dark and he does many of his tattoos with the traditional black & gray shading style.

God Seed = New Gorgoroth Name

So it is official: Infernus will keep the Gorgoroth name. King ov Hell and Gaahl have decided to name their band GOD SEED! Just when I thought that the Gorgoroth situation couldn't get any more ridiculous....Then BAM, these fvcking idiots come up with the lamest UN-blackmetal name of all time!
Seriously, who the hell is going to buy the new God Seed album? These guys will go down in history as being the most laughable black metal band ever!
It is impossible for me to even take them seriously no matter how grim and dark they try to act.

In an interview at IMHOTEP, King ov Hell said "God Seed represent a more spiritual side to us than what Gorgoroth would." ....WTF is that supposed to mean? A more spiritual side? So now they are gay christians? Maybe I am just being childish, but come on, this is a fvcking joke!

After being incarcerated for 16 years, it was announced on burzum.org that Varg would soon be released from prison on parole. There is no need to go into the controversy of Varg and his "notorious" actions, I have actually always been a fan of Varg and I have enjoyed reading some of his pagan literature. According to the wikipedia page on Varg it says "Vikernes stated numerous times in past interviews that he planned to move to a farm with his wife and child, mentioning the fact that he planned to write books under a pen name or anonymously as well as recording a possible future album"

Classical Metal with Pergamum

I stumbled upon this band from Australia when looking for new bands on myspace. I found this band called Pergamum, and man do they really suck! However, I was blown away by their track called "Classical Metal" which is a medley of classical music songs performed on guitar in metal style. The result is genius!!! Check this out, it will not disappoint...

CLASSICAL METAL

No Respect for Gorgoroth

I can remember a time when I thought Gorgoroth was actually a great band. I still jam a couple of their albums on occasion: "Pentagram" and "Antichrist". Gorgoroth has has been in the spotlight for many years because of their insistent need for attention. They have always been one of those "more black metal than thou" type of bands. Check out their page at Encyclopaedia Metallum to see the ridiculous amounts of people who have contributed to Gorgoroth over the years.

A few reasons why I have no respect for Gorgoroth:

• The band had a Hollywood style split up with eachother ending with two different bands with the same fucking name. So now we have the Infernus Gorgoroth and the sickened Gaahl Gorgoroth.
• Ghaal came out of the closet and is seeing a fashion designer. I could care less if he is gay, but damn -Keep It To Your Self! In the world of black metal it is well known that being gay is not the trend. People have been murdered for being gay...total career killer for Gaahl
• Countless documentaries, stories and articles have been writen about how obscure, strange and abnormal Gorgoroth is. There are many more bands out there that I would rather see documentaries about.
• King Ov Hell had to officially issue a statement saying that "GORGOROTH Is Not About Gay Liberation" Check out the story from blabbermouth.
• Gorgoroth recently announced a tour with non other than CRADLE OF FILTH....need I say more here? WTF?

Bill Zebub WTF Are You Smoking Man?

I recently bought a metal documentary from the acclaimed metal director Bill Zebub called "Black Metal: The Norwegian Legacy?" If you like cheesy humor, B-Movies, metal, beer and naked or half naked chicks, then you will love his videos, check out this guy's homepage Bill Zebub.

The documentary itself was very entertaining, I watched it with a metalhead freind of mine while drinking, I don't think we have ever laughed so hard. Im not even sure if Bill meant the video to be funny, but it turned out that way. we were mostly making fun of the bands and the interviews..

I will admit that I am jealous of Bill, I need chicks walking around in panties at my every beck and call...

More Black/Thrash- Skeletonwitch!

Another great American thrash metal band, what else could the world need? I can't get enough of the modern wave of thrash bands like: Warbringer, Toxic Holocaust, Hexen, and now Skeletonwitch.

I saw these guys a while back in Texas, and I have been jamming them since then. These guys are what American metal is all about: beards, tattoos, beer, headbanging-thrash and a hella good time! Plus these guys have done very well for themselves without being on a major record label. They have been on tour for over a year promoting their album "Beyond the Permafrost". Nothing says American like doing it all on your own from the ground up, living off of beans and beer! The band was founded by two brothers in Ohio who started out as regular jack-offs; now they are jack-offs who get to play metal and drink every night...thats gotta be a tough job!

Silenoz shows us how to smoke a wiener!

I found this great video while patrolling through my daily ritual of checking blabbermouth. The video is actually hilarious, it shows Silenoz of Dimmu- Borgir on some cooking show called "Stella Can't Cook" Silenoz shows us how to grill up some tasty dogs wrapped tortilla style!

I have actually been a fan of Dimmu Borgir for many years, I have been able to spend some time with the band: once when I was in New York at Last Rites tattoo studio, and once after a show in Texas. Silenoz is actually a very pleasant guy to talk with, not a typical rockstar asshole at all. Vortex and I spent a couple of hours backstage drinking Coronas and talking about Borknagar, Arcturus, fishing in Norway and hatred for mankind.. here is photo of us.

Excerpt from my Book

Over the past year I have been writing a book off and on. The book is basically my philosophical prose with an emphasis on misanthropy. Though, in my texts I never use the word misanthropy, it is just assumed. Each prose is typically no longer than three pages. My inspiration for this writing comes from Emile Cioran, Charles Bukowski, and Christopher Hyatt. Read it and let me know what you think.

Deterioration of the Illusive Third Eye

I have spent many nights pondering the truth of the elegant stories of our ancient history as told through pages of chastised blasphemy. Our mythologies speak of a time when men would communicate with gods, and gods would listen, advise, and counsel; and furthermore, gods would actually physically speak to men. It was through a lost membrane of our bygone ancestors that allowed them this exotic experience of communicating with the beyond. Depicted in many esoteric books, statues and architecture is a lost reverence of the illusive third eye that was once possessed by the ancients. This captivating all-seeing eye is conveniently drawn in golden halls and on coins to remind us of our continuous de-evolution and our plummeting existence into the material world.

Ages ago humans lived in a purely cosmological world that was completely separated from the material universe. These people lived only in the consciousness of their mind and their physical bodies were just extensions of their thoughts. To them, every circumstance was predestined and fortuned by the powers of gods and demi-gods. When the wind was blowing, it was because a god set it to be. When the billowing sun ascended in the morning sky, it was because a powerful god chose to make it rise. Today, science can explain such mysteries and disprove the existence of gods. The gaping third eye which the ancients saw through has been permanently sealed up by bone and tissue as modern man traversed into the material universe that now inhabits us. It was through the deterioration of the illusive third eye that man began to question himself and the world around him. Without the third eye, we are blind to all but physical material items.

While I can laugh at the notion of believing that a god in the sky commands the sun to raise everyday; I cannot write off the idea that my ancestors were more in tune with our world than we could ever ponder. The beliefs and stories of our fathers may seem silly to us now because of our so called superior intellect and our understanding of science. However, I can only dream of a world where my imagination is equal to my dreams and my dreams are my only reality.

The great mythologies of our past are today seen as nothing more than a child’s tale or materials of great fiction. I have no evidence to prove or disprove any of these great stories, but I can raise the question of belief and truth. If I hold a knife in my hand, I can see it, feel it, use it and I know without a doubt that it exists. The same must be true of our ancestors who saw the world through the illusive third eye. What they saw and thought were just as real as the knife that I held in my hand. This does not mean that our fathers lived a gullible life of delusions, it means that they were extremely creative and passionate about life and living. What can we say for ourselves now? Science has proved that there are no gods and we are infinitely miniscule in this vast cosmos. I would rather take that knife and carve a third eye out of my flesh and live with my ancient brothers while basking in the ignorance of the material universe!

Alas, I must beg to note that our illusive third eyes have not left us forever. It remains intact deep inside each of us. It is now blocked by a thick skull wall and muscle tissue, but it resides locked away in the prison of our material thoughts. Through concise meditations and revelations, the illusive third eye can be unlocked, but only briefly and to no extent of that of our belated ancestors. In order to see through your third eye, you must suspend belief in all that you know and release your mind to see without judgment. Seeing the world as our forefathers did is deeply complex and can often lead to madness, but nothing could possibly be more mad than seeing the world as I see it now…

Nattefrost -Please Shock Me!!!

I recently got my copy of the new Peter Beste book called "True Norwegian Black Metal". The book itself a is a gem; the size is massive and the quality of the book is superb. I have actually been following Peter Beste's photography for a while now. What I find most repulsive of the book is the amount of Nattefrost coverage, hell he is in the cover of the book!

I have both Nattefrost albums, and while I like his other band Carpathian Forest, I cant stand anything that Nattefrost does. It seems like he is just screaming to be shocking, almost in the same fashion of Marilyn Manson.


In this photo above we see Nattefrost laying in his bathtub covered in his own feces. With songs like "Pre-Teen Deathfuk" and "Nattefrost Takes a Piss" I am not shocked or scared of how evil he is. Actually it makes me laugh at what total retard he is.

I could make fun of Nattefrost all day, but it in all honesty I don't know the guy, so all I can do is make fun of his absurdity. What I can say is that I admire his ability to not give a fuck about anything!

Hail Darkthrone

Have you heard any recent Darkthrone material? If you haven't, you are missing out on the best black/thrash- black & roll metal of all time! I have been jamming Darkthrone for many years, always being a first to pick up their new album. When "The cult is Alive" came out, my first reaction was -what the hell are these guys doing? Darkthrone are best known for their necro black metal of the early 90's that inspired legions of other black metal bands.

Many black metal fans will complain about how Darkthrone isnt black metal anymore, they are just a couple of fags, whatever... Go back down to your Mom's basement and tell yourself how tr00, necro and cult you are because I don't give a shit -New Darkthrone is hella headbanging!

Their last two albums "F.O.A.D" & "Dark Thrones & Black Flags" sound like old school thrash with a splash of punk and a skeleton of black metal. Lately I have been listening to alot of Toxic Holocaust, which is maybe why I like the new darkthrone so much.

Arcturus and Misanthropy

Arcturus is my most favorite band, it may be childish of me to have a favorite band, but I truly admire the artistic creativity of Arcturus. They have many moods, one for each album; the album that speaks to me the most is "La Masquerade Infernale" The song on that album entitled Alone is actually music that accompanies an Edgar Allen Poe piece. Here is the poem in its entirety.

The real mysticism and misanthropy comes from actually hearing the emotions of the song itself along with the lyrics. The line that speaks deeply to my subconscious is "from the same source I have not taken". I can relate to that message because I feel that I am different from the average society, I have drunken from a different cup, and walked a path unnoticed to others. I feel as if I have been awakened from a deep sleep and all around me people are still coldly rooted in their deepest slumber. When I hear this song it penetrates to my inner sentient being which tells me that there are those out there who are also awake and follow my path.

I can't believe that I missed the first Paganfest, what the hell was I thinking? You can be damn well sure that I won't miss this go around. Korpiklaani, Primordial, and Moonsorrow! Throw on your deerskin pants, grab an axe and a wooden pint, there will be a viking pillage like no other!

The Ultimate Metal Vest

I have recently bought some killer large size patches, I don't currently have a jacket or vest to put them on. So, I have decided to pursue making the ultimate metal vest. I have seen many metal vests at shows and records shops from time to time. Most metal vests look absolutely retarded! They either have way too many patches, way too many spikes, or the lay-out is messy. Being the perfectionist that I am, I will attempt to make a well designed vest that will be planned and thought out.

Lets look at some examples of metal vests gone wrong. This one below probably started out as a nice vest, but then he went crazy with the patches.


Here is another vest that went wrong, this vest below has a nice image, but the spikes make it look silly.


This next vest was almost perfect, a nice clean and smooth design that is not overloaded with patches and spikes. However, the symmetry is lost with the odd sized patches.


The vest that I am planning will have balanced symmetry on the back with no more that 4-6 patches on the front. Clean, simple but elegant while keeping a bleak darkened metal look. My vest will resemble more of a bikers vest, like the one below. Bikers are of course the originators of the metal vest, see below. No one knows this more than the NYDM guys.



Here is a photo of my old metal jacket (below), it was nice when I made it, but I want to show how metal, necro and tr00 I am by making a vest with totally sick underground necro black metal bands.


This next photo (below) is a rough idea of what I want my back patch to look like for my ultimate metal vest. I really want something unique that is artistic and well designed.

Hail Finland! Best of Finland Part 1

I can remember a time when the best black metal came from Norway, but these days Finland is a black metal hot-spot. Many of the great black metal bands of modern times come from Finland. I will be talking about my favorite bands from Finland in a 3 part blog series

• Deathspell Omega tops the list for me as a ground breaking black metal band. Their early albums are typical satanized extreme blasting black metal. However, their recent works are concept albums that have superb artwork, layout, lyrics and a vast changes of elegant and blasting musical style. Their albums have an esoteric appeal of ancient hidden knowledge that their music brings forth in a cosmological discordance of ritual blasphemy and blazing black metal. Owning their vinyl editions is like owning a relic of a satanic masterpiece. I have even been studying bits of Latin to understand the complexities of their album layouts and lyrics. • Archgoat is another one of my favorites from Finland. I was very fortunate to see their only USA show ever at the Sacrifice of the Nazarene Child Festival in San Antonio, TX in 2006. Before I saw this band live, I thought that they weren't much to rave about. Seeing them live put things into perspective for me, they had a commanded stage presence that locked deeply with the audience. These guys truly hypnotized me with their assaults and galloping slow transitions. I highly recommend seeing them live if possible. I stumbled upon this Swedish band a few years ago with their album "On Funeral Wings". This band has the perfect mixture of slow drudging, crunchy doom metal with death metal style vocals. Usually doom metal has a high-pitched Candlemass type of vocalist, not Runemagick, these guys will blow your door down....very slowly I might add.

State of Econimic Crisis

At this point in my life, I don't even watch the news anymore. I have enough other issues, the news just pisses me off completely. Furthermore, most news that you see is loaded, jaded and entirely full of sh*t! I do not claim to know the ins and outs of our global economic crisis, but I sure as hell know what I am going to do. Here is my top ten list of things that i will do to prepare myself for the economic sh*t-storm.

1. Buy 50 acres of land in central Texas with ample natural water
2. Stock up on guns and ammunition
   
3. Obtain my concealed handgun license
4. Start an organic garden on my property
5. Raise goats, chickens and cows on my property
6. Collect as many books as I can for homeschooling my children.
7. Install solar panels at my property
8. Build battle bunkers for war against anyone who dares to enter
9. Stock up on needles for my record player to play endless hours of black metal, death metal and doom metal from my record collection
10. Live like a viking while everyone else dies as the streets burn in riots!!!
